The Gut Brain Axis and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ND)

The Gut Brain Axis is a two-way information superhighway between the gut and the brain. Understanding the Gut Brain Axis is primary for our Eat2beNICE project, studying connections between nutrition, lifestyle, and mental health. Dr. Arias-Vasquez gives an overview of the principal understandings on which our research is taking place.

Dr. Arias-Vasquex is Principal Investigator – Donders Center of Medical Neurosciences and Principal Investigator – Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, at Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

New Brain Nutrition is the public dissemination effort of Eat2beNICE, a consortium of 18 European universities, hospitals and agencies doing research on the connections between nutrition, lifestyle and mental health.
